ESSAY ON PERSONS


PARAGRAPHS ON PERSONS:
1. MY NEIGHBOURS:
Our building is a three storeyed one with six blocks. We live on the ground floor. There are five other families living in the building. They are, the professor, the engineer, the lawyer, the merchant and the bank clerk. The professor is a good man. I always see him reading. He is absent minded. One day he was trying to look for his spectacles. But they were already on his nose ! The engineer's wife is quarrel-some. Whereas the Lawyer beats his wife daily. The next door, neighbour, the merchant is a chain smoker. The bank clerk is fond of singing. There are three babies in our immediate neighbourhood. They cry at night and disturb us our sleep. There are quarrels about children. There are hot words and even fight at the common washing place. We often receive dirt on our heads from above. But we help one another in times of trouble or sickness. We enjoy festivals like Diwali, Holi, Christmas together. We g forget our differences and are helpful is someone is in great difficulty.


2. THE INDIAN FARMER:
India is an agricultural country. He is the man of the soil.   It is the Indian Farmer who has made India what it is now. He is strong and  sturdy. He is a hard worker. He is up at cockcrow, has a meal and plods out to his field with his plough and bullocks. He weeds, sows or reaps. He must do everything at the right time. His wife brings his mid day meal to him. He enjoys his food because he has a good appetite. This good meal is followed by a short nap. He is once more at his Job. He earns his bread with the sweat of his brow. At sundown he stops his work and goes home. He takes his evening meal. Then he meets his neighbours. There is a lot of chatting and smoking and singing of 'bhajans'. Then the farmer lays himself down in his bed. He gets sound sleep. The Indian farmer has good, practical knowledge of agriculture. His life is depends on rain. I like the life of an Indian Farmer. I love him the most as he is a true founder of our beloved NATION-INDIA.

3. A HOSPITAL NURSE :
A, hospital nurse is familiar to all. She wears a white uniform. She is an important member in the hospital. She takes care of patients under her care. She visits the patients and nurses them. She gives them medicine and injection at the fixed time. She also dresses their wounds, She takes their temperature. She notes it down in the card. She hears their complaints patiently. She treats them with love and kindness. The patients call her 'sister'. Her life is hard. She does not always get duty by day, it changes. She sometimes gets night duty also. Her work is noble. She is a model of service and sacrifice, patience and duty.

4. THE TEACHER I LIKE MOST :
The name of my school is Vivekanand high school. There are forty teachers in my school. Of them I like Mr. Kulkarni; most.  He teaches us English and Social studies. He has a sound Knowledge of his subjects. He is an M.A.B.Ed.  His teaching has always been systematic, interesting and methodical. He has a good and pleasant voice. He uses simple language. He illustrates every point. He is always ready to solve pupils' problem and difficulties,
He is strict in the class. There is pin-drop silence in his class. Of course, he is kind to the pupils. We all love him because he loves us.

5. LIFE OF A CYCLE REPAIRER :
The cycle repairer is a very common sight in towns and cities. Usually he earns his bread by working on a road side. He is often poorly dressed. He works from early morning to late evening and earns an honest living. He has tools like a screw driver, an air pump, a solution tube, a spanner set for cycle repairing. He has to do little repairing as well as complete cycle service. He listens to their complaints very patiently and tries his best to satisfy them. Though he works hard, he earns poorly. But he is a contented man. He is always proud of his occupation.

6. POSTMAN :
A postman is a familiar figure for all. Everyone likes to wait for him. He is an early riser. He puts on his khakhi uniform and reaches the post office early in the morning. He puts letters and shorts them. He collects the letters of their area. He carries letters, parcels and money orders. He moves from one door to the next door. He also shares joys and sorrows with the people. He works very hard. He works very honestly. He is the member of our society. He works very faithfully. He is a very faithful servant of the society.

7. NURSE :
A nurse is familiar to us all. She puts on her white uniform. She is an important figure at hospital. She looks after patients. She performs many duties. She visits the patients and treats them. She gives them medicines and injections. She also measures the temperature and pulse of the patients.       She keeps all these on records. She listens the complaints of the patients and treats then with love and kindness. So Patients call her 'sister'. Her life is very hard. Her work is noble. She is a model of service, sacrifice and patience.

8. MY BEST FRIEND :
It is said that a man is known by the company he keeps. One should have good friends in one's life. I have two fast friends, Pooja and Charmy. They are my class-mates. We are good friends. We always work and play together. Sometimes we quarrel but we forget our quarrel soon. Pooja is a clever student. She often solves my difficulties and encourages me to work hard. Charmy is a kind girl. She is a painter too. She has won many prizes in dancing and painting. I am proud of Pooja as well as Charmy. I admire them and love very much.

9. MY FAVOURITE HERO – MAHATMA GANDHI
My favourite hero is Mahatma Gandhiji. He is among the world's greatest men. His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, He was born on 2nd Oct.1869 at Porbandar, in Gujarat. Ha became a barrister at law. He fought for our freedom from the British rule. He lived like a poor man. He wore a cloth made by himself. He worked very hard. He spent many years in the Jail for the country's service. He believed in truth and non-violence. He did not hate anyone. He loved all. He had great faith and love in prayer and God. He served the poor. He gave us freedom. People called him 'Mahatma’. A mad man killed on 30th Jan. 1948. We now call him the Father of Nation.

10. AN INDIAN FARMER :
India is an agricultural country. The Indian farmer represents India. He is the backbone of the country. He rises early in the morning. After his simple breakfast, he goes to his fields with his plough and bullocks. He is always busy.
Sometimes he ploughs the field, he weeds useless grass, sows seeds, waters, reaps, makes leaves, thrashes.
His wife brings his mid-day meal. He sit under a shady tree. He eats heartily. He enjoys every morsel. After his meal, he takes a short nap. After a nap, he begins his work again.
At sunset he stops his work- and goes hone. He attends to his bullocks. He has his supper. Then he goes to the village Chora, smokes and talks with other farmers. He also sings bhajans. He is so tired that he goes to bed. As soon as he lies on his bed, he has a sound and dreamless-sleep.

11. MY BEST FRIEND :
Nilesh is my best friend. He is my classmate. He lives in my society. He looks very smart and active. He is very clever and intelligent, he goes to school and returns from school by bus. We love each other. He is very kind to me. He helps me in my study. We play games and study together. He spends his leisure time in reading story books and magazines. He takes a lot of interest in science and mathematics. He wants to be an engineer.

12. YOUR FAVOURITE SPORTSMAN :
There are many sportsmen in various games. When I think of cricket only one name comes to my mind. And that is Sunil Gavaskar. I like him. I love him. I am mad after him. He is strong and stout. He is smart and sharp. He is a true sportsman. He has a high sense of discipline. He is a gifted batsman. His technique of batting is super. His performance at Madras against the Windies in 1984 was excellent. He crashed and crushed the bowling of Marshall and his company. Ho broke many world records. He was declared the man of the match. He is really a run machine of India.


13. MY MOTHER :
I love all my family members but I love my mother most. Her name is Meenaben. She is 35. She is very beautiful and kind hearten lady. She is a housewife. She takes care of all of us. She gets up early in the morning and complete her house hold work. She takes care of every member of family sincerely. She loves all of us immensely. When anybody of us is ill, she nurses him/her quite devotedly. She cooks delicious dishes. She keeps the house clean and tidy. She helps me in doing my home work.  She treats our relatives and guests very kindly. She keeps our family integrated. We all love her. Indeed my mother is the most important person in my life.
